Taijiquan
Taijiquan is a Chinese martial art that has practical applications, but it can be practiced using slow, gentle movements to extract the health benefits of the exercise. To this end, it has frequently been referred to as a "moving meditation". Taijiquan can be translated as, taiji - "grand ultimate" and quan - "fist", where the quan implies the martial applications associated from taiji which is a manifestation from the Taoist concept of wuji - "no extremity". Due to this theory of developing movement from stillness, taijiquan is classified as an internal martial art. The study and practice of taijiquan can enhance physical flexibility, balance, agility, and strength as well as mental concentration and focus. The class will be tailored to beginning students (although those with experience are welcome!) and address the Sun-style taijiquan form. There is no special equipment needed to train, just wear comfortable clothes
